Free Period Potions (Open; Reccomended on those who need EE or O in their OWLs or want to get into the NEWT Class)

(This is a free period class. Feel free to join at any time you want, this is a free period class, meaning it is not a required class, but it can be joined for extra credit in potions.)

Austin scurried gently around his small desk as he sniffed the thick air of the dungeon. The moss in the dungeons was obviously foul to the smell as he placed his hand on a soft leather bound book on a small desk in the middle of the room. He loved the mourning silence. Oh but h ow soon it would be interupted. Two boys from the Oh-So-Proud house came into the class. One of them being the Boy from the last day, in the Great Hall.
"Well Hey-There Professor Skinny-Bones!"
"P-Please don't call me that..."
"What was that?"
"..."

((Seeing as the odds of Shiyumi getting into any serious trouble first night are extremely low I'm bringing her in here while I am still playing her the night before.))

Shiyumi walked into Free Period Potions. More stumble then walk actually. She wasn't much of a morning person but she wanted a O at least on her OWLs so she had decided to drag herself here. She saw Professor Elantrix talking to some Griffendoor boys and she caught the last couple of words. She rolled her eyes and walked over.

"Oy," she said to the boys. "I wourdn't try to much to disrespect a teacher. Either you'rr get in some big troubre with the Headmaster or someone having the sort of morning I'm having might just take it into their heads to practice their transfiguration on your black and red crad arses." She slumped into a desk nearby and started slapping her face to try and wake her up.

Monde opened the door to the posion class room, and quickly found the proffesor behind his desk. "Proffesor?" asked Monde, and looked questioning at Austin "I need to know the pass..." Monde didnt say the last bit, before looking around, seeing if there were any curious ears around. And there were two students, one of them were the one who had insulted the proffesor yesterday. Monde held his look at the Gryffindor, before slipping into the room. "We can talk afterwards" Monde said to Austin, and sat by a desk behind the two Gryffindors. Monde nodded to Shi with a smile "Morning"

Austin looked down at his desk nervously, fumbleing with some papers. After a while he stumbled onto a paper that contained a few spare notes on it. He shifted uncomfortably under the gaze of the four students, but soon enough opened a small droor in his desk and pulled out a small vial of liquid. He waved it gently at the students from his spot behind his desk. He took a deep breath. "Does...Anyone know what this is?"

(Love Potion)

Shiyumi nodded to Monde, feeling exhausted. She looked up as Elantrix held up a potion. 'Thank god I know what I'm doing in this class, she thought before raising her hand. "It's a rove potion, correct?" she asked

Monde's favourite lessons werent exactly potions, but he had obtained some knowledge in the past 6 years, even though this bottle could be very many different potions, since all the knowledge he could extract was the colour and looks. "Can we smell it maybe?" Asked Monde, and looked curious "Because of the looks it could be many different potions. Confusing Concoction maybe? Or Amortentia?" Monde said trying, looking for the answer in Austins face

Austin's face lit up a little as he smiled at the girl with such an unusual accent. "Yes..." He murmered after a second. "It is a love potion and yes mister Monde...You can smell it..." He murmered as he passed it to Monde first to sniff. Austin felt a deep gratitude to Monde as he murmered to him. "K-Keep it...You might need it..." He mumbled, feeling enough gratitude to him to break the rules and give him such a potion. Of course it was a minor love potion, not something powerful. The potion would smell diffrent to each individual person.

Shiyumi widened her eyes as Elantrix handed Monde the potion. She leaned over to Monde. "Do you... mind if I smerr it? My mother never ret me near one and I've arways wanted to know what it wourd smerr rike to me," she said with a sheepish smile.

Monde nodded in gratitude as he allways did, but didnt really know what to do with a love potion. "Do you... mind if I smerr it?" Shi asked, and Monde looked up from the bottle, "Sure" he said with a shrug "It doesnt have any particular smell though... Its love posion" he finished and handed it over to Shi, and looked up at the teacher again

Shiyumi nodded. "I know... different for every person and arr that," she said, before uncorking the bottle and taking a sniff. She smiled dreamily as she smelled cherry blossoms, rain, willow trees and sandalwood incense. She blinked several times to clear her head before she handed the bottle back to Monde. "Thanks," she said.

Monde nodded, still paying attention to Prof. Ellantrix, as he sniffed shortly to the bottle. A faint, little smell dug its way through Monde's noseand up tp his brain. He looked suspicious at the bottle. He had never smelled that smell before, and he didnt knew what it was from, further more the smell was faint. Monde looked thoughtfully as he put the posion in his pocket. What could this mean?

Austin let off a little but rare chuckle and a faint smile lit up his face and started to pull out a few lesson plans only to hide his face in his desk again when the same Oh-So-Bold student shouted. "So why does he get to keep that potion?!" Austin blushed and looked away. Shi and Monde really were his favorite students if everyone else was like this...

Shiyumi looked at the student. "If you care so much just terr yourserf he needs it more then you or something rike that," she muttered before turning her attention back to Elantrix.

Monde ignored the two students, and kept his attention at the teacher. Is there going to be a lesson or what? Monde thought for himself. Everything seemed like a drag with those two students. Monde looked under his table, and found a book, some papers and ink, that he pulled out and placed on the table, showing he was ready to begin

After a large moment of silence, Austin pulled somethng heavy out from behind his desk. It was heavy, somewhat, but it was a small iron cauldron. He walked forward with it and placed it on the table i nthe center of the dungeon. All around the room diffrent potion ingrediants lay. "First..." Austin trailed off. "We will test what you remember from last year. Without looking at your books, you four must work together and make a Drought of Liquid Death..." He said, quiet slowlly then.

Shiyumi grinned a little wider. She had a little trouble with more helpful potions, but things that caused harm or manipulated someone she could do quite well. She looked over at Monde and the other two students to see what they would do, before she stood slowly. "Shord we just begin professor?" she asked, not wanting to make a fool of herself on the first day by doing something stupid.

Monde looked questioning at the professor. "But sir," Monde started "how will we 'work together'? And who of us had about this potion last year? because it seems a little distant to me" Monde finished, looking distracted at the cover of the book, having no idea how to make the potion Prof. Elleantrix asked for

Austin laughed gently, feeling a little encouraged at the small size of his classroom. "Yes...You may start. And that is just it Monde, my dear boy. You must work together in your own way to succeed.
